Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Lifemap, in plain language.

Last updated 3 August 2026

These terms apply when you use the Lifemap app. Please read them — by creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Lifemap.

1. What Lifemap is

Lifemap is a personal photo-map app. You add a photo, it is placed on a map using its location, and your photos are grouped into moments. It is operated by an independent developer, reachable at abdlpr.erfan.dev@gmail.com.

2. Apple's standard licence also applies

Lifemap is distributed through the App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies to your use of the app in addition to these terms. Where the two conflict, Apple's agreement takes precedence. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and is not a party to these terms — but Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce them as a third-party beneficiary.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Lifemap. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. An account is for one person. You must be old enough to consent to this agreement where you live, and at least 13 in any case.

4. Your photos stay yours

You keep all rights to the photos, notes, and location data you add. We claim no ownership over them and we do not sell them, publish them, or show them to other users.

To make the app work, we need your permission to store and process your content — that means keeping your photos on our servers, generating the sizes the app displays, and using their coordinates and timestamps to place pins and build moments. That permission exists only so we can run the service for you, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.

5. Acceptable use

When using Lifemap, please don't:

  • upload anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to upload — including photos of other people where you need their permission and don't have it;
  • try to access another user's data, or break, overload, or work around our servers and API;
  • use the app to harass anyone, or to build a competing service from our data.

6. Subscriptions and payment

Lifemap is free to use with certain limits. An optional paid subscription removes them. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and the price, billing period, and renewal date are shown to you before you buy.

Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are all handled by Apple, not by us. You can view or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple account subscription settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period you are already in. Refund requests go to Apple, and Apple's decision is final. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

If we change what a subscription costs or includes, we will tell you beforehand and you can cancel.

7. Ending things

You can stop using Lifemap at any time and delete your account from inside the app. Deleting your account removes your photos and data from our systems. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks section 5, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can.

8. No warranty

Lifemap is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it running and to keep your data safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that it will never lose data. Please keep your own copies of photos that matter to you. Lifemap is a place to see your photos on a map — it is not a backup service.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or lost profits. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. If a change is significant, we will give you notice in the app. Carrying on using Lifemap after a change means you accept it.
